What is Clinical Pilates?

Every person’s biomechanics and movement patterning are all slightly different. All sports and work require different skills and muscle activation. When it comes to injury prevention and skill development every persons needs are slightly different. Clinical Pilates is individual or small group Pilates with a physiotherapist.

How does Clinical Pilates exercises work?

With pilates you train the core muscles around your spine. The focus of pilates is soley on you and we will make sure that you are maintaining the best technique possible. With that you can recover from your condition as soon as possible. Pilates exercises are aimed at the appropriate level for you and your pain and are progressed when possible and tolerated.

We have a strong focus on specific outcomes for each and every individual that joins us.

All our members must experience a comprehensive Pilates assessment from our physiotherapist, Jayme prior to starting.

From there Jayme will work closely with you on a range of things from strength, posture, injury rehab, pain management or sports performance with your own individualised plan.

You can then choose to experience either a one to one session or small group classes to achieve your best results and reach those goals your striving for.

Our Clinical Pilates are small group classes that comprise of equipment (reformer) and/or mat based exercises with a maximum of 6 people per class run in our very own Pilates space.

All Fighting Fit Clinical Pilates assessments, one on one and small group classes can claim a health fund rebate.
